Newport Cinemas at Newport Mall in Resorts World Manila


 I first saw this newly opened Newport Cinema in Newport Mall in Resorts World Manila when they invited me and other bloggers for the special screening of Despicable Me in 3D. The cinemas are spacious and seats are so comfortable. This state of the art theaters are equipped with the latest Dolby Digital Audio technology.

They currently have four cinemas and one of those is the Newport ULTRA Cinema where you can experience twin-seater, fully reclining seats and unlimited popcorn & drinks served by their personal butlers. If you ran out of popcorn or drinks you just have to request through a call button allocated per pod for your personalized service. Cool eh?

Resorts World Manila is located just infront of  NAIA3 in Pasay City. If you are near the MRT Taft Station, you can go the bus terminal at McDo (Taft EDSA) and look for the shuttle bus with "NAIA Terminal 1,2, 3 Loop" sign. Just tell the driver you're going to Resorts World :)

I nitially conceived as a tale in which two husbands score a week off from marriage while their mates anxiously await developments, Warner Bros.’ new comedy “Hall Pass” took another twist as filmmakers the Farrelly Brothers delved further into the story and characters. Now, in addition to tracking Rick (Owen Wilson) and Fred (Jason Sudeikis) on their seven-day bender, the story takes a look at what might happen if Maggie (Jenna Fisher) and Grace (Christina Applegate) assumed the same freedom. “It has to go both ways. That’s key to unlocking the story, making it fair and opening it up for everyone,” says Peter Farrelly. Not only fair, but, as Bradley Thomas points out, more honest. “If you make a movie about two guys who get a hall pass while their wives are sitting at home, hoping and praying they don’t do anything, that’s just baloney. It’s not real. I’m sure that if these two guys are looking at other women, then other guys are checking out their wives, too.”

From Blue Sky Studios who gave the world the “Ice Age” hit series, “ Rio ” nests on a domesticated rare macaw named Blu (Eisenberg) who has never learned to fly and enjoys a comfy life with his owner and best friend Linda (voiced by Leslie Mann). Blu’s journey begins in the not-so-domesticated Brazilian jungle, where as a nestling, he’s experiencing the joyous musical melodies of hundreds of birds flying and swooping around him. The sounds inspire the baby Blu to initiate his first attempt at flight, which is abruptly cut short when he and several other birds are captured by smugglers.
