D reamWorks Pictures has just released the character banners its new suspense-thriller “ Fright Night ,” a re-imagining of the 1985 comedy-horror classic. The individual banners feature the main characters played by Colin Farrell, Anton Yelchin, David Tennant and Imogen Poots.

S tarring in Walt Disney Pictures' new dramatic comedy “Prom” are six of today's most promising young actresses. They are Aimee Teegarden, Kylie Bunbury, Danielle Campbell, Yin Chang, Janelle Ortiz and Raini Rodriguez. “Prom” portrays the precarious passage from high school to independence as some relationships unravel and others ignite as the big dance approaches. For Nova Prescott (Teegarden), it’s a battle of wills as she finds herself drawn to the guy (Thomas McDonell) who gets in the way of her perfect prom. Fellow seniors Mei (Chang) and Tyler (De’Vaughn Nixon) harbor secrets, while others face all the insecurity and anticipation that surrounds one of high school’s most seminal events. There are hundreds of nights in high school, but there’s only one “ Prom .”

T oday, in honor of Global Smurfs Day, Smurfs fans in 11 cities around the world set a new Guinness World Records title for the Largest Gathering of People Dressed as Smurfs within a 24-hour Period in Multiple Venues, it was announced today by Marc Weinstock, president, Worldwide Marketing for Sony Pictures Entertainment. The worldwide events were organized by Sony Pictures Entertainment and Sony Pictures Animation in anticipation of the release of The Smurfs® (opening in the Philippines on August 10.)

D isney/Pixar has just revealed the international pay-off poster of its highly-awaited animated feature “Cars 2” which you can see here. Warner Bros. has just shared the eye-popping character banners of its upcoming fantasy family adventure in 3D, Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole . Directed by Zack Snyder (Watchmen, 300) the film based on the beloved Guardians of Ga’Hoole books by Kathryn Lasky . The individual banners feature the following characters: Soren (voice of Jim Sturgess ) -- A young male Barn Owl enthralled by his father’s epic stories of the Guardians of Ga’ Hoole, a mythic band of winged warriors who had fought a great battle to save all of owlkind from the evil Pure Ones. Soren was snatched by patrols from St. Aegolius Academy for Orphaned Owls.

Starring Jackie Earle Haley, Katie Cassidy, Kellan Lutz, Kyle Gallner, Rooney Mara, Thomas Dekker, Freddy Krueger is back to bring A Nightmare on Elm Street again! This remake is directed by Michael Bayers who did some music videos for My Chemical Romance & Green Day. Though he received some negative reviews on his first commercial film, I think that he did well, and it translated to box office too!  This movie open as #1 in the US.

Warner Bros . has released the official character posters of its upcoming action-adventure Sucker Punch from director Zack Snyder (Watchmen, 300). The one-sheets feature individual cast members Emily Browning as Babydoll, Vanessa Hudgens as Blondie, Abbie Cornish as Sweet Pea, Jamie Chung as Amber, Jena Malone as Rocket and Carla Gugino as Madam Gorski.
