Frankenweenie


Disney has just unveiled the first photos of Tim Burton's upcoming animated feature, “Frankenweenie” which hits Philippine theaters October next year, just in time for Halloween 2012. From creative genius Tim Burton (“Alice in Wonderland,” The Nightmare Before Christmas”) comes “Frankenweenie,” a heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous.

A stop-motion animated film, “Frankenweenie” was filmed in black and white and rendered in 3D, which will elevate the classic style to a whole new experience.

With a screenplay by Burton and John August, the film's voice cast is lead by Winona Ryder, Martin Short, Catherine O’Hara, Martin Landau, Charlie Tahan and Atticus Shaffer.

It’s not much of a life, however, as she proceeds to bury him in a coffin forever…or at least the foreseeable future.

T he Weinstein Company's critically-acclaimed crime comedy “ Killing Them Softly ” starring Brad Pitt will be shown exclusively at Ayala Malls Cinemas (Glorietta 4, Greenbelt 3 and Trinoma) starting Dec. 5. In the film, three dumb guys who think they’re smart rob a Mob-protected card game, causing the local criminal economy to collapse. Pitt plays the enforcer hired to track them down and restore order.

Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole Movie Review

I watched Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole for two times. One in the advance screening in Cinema 1, SM Megamall courtesy of 99.5 RT and on it's premiere night at IMAX , SM North EDSA the next day. Why? I just want to know what's the difference between the Digital 3D and the 3D at IMAX. When I first saw the trailer of this film, it really caught my attention because of the superb graphic. It has a nice plot too, which makes the movie more interesting. So that means, I have high expectation on this film.
