Cats & Dogs 2: The Revenge of Kitty Galore Movie Review

Before I saw Cats & Dogs 2: The Revenge of Kitty Galore on it's premiere at Greenbelt 3 at 11 in the morning, (yup! it's in the morning because they want more kids to be part of the this) they show 2 movie teasers first: Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole & Yogi Bear. They also show a short 3D movie  featuring Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote. Actually I enjoyed all those teasers but the Legend of the Guardian teasers took so long to me. It's not just a teaser, I think I already know the whole story.

I'm not the only one who feels that because as they show the teasers of The Owls, the audience keep on standing as if they're not interested.

SYNOPSIS:
In the eternal battle between cats and dogs, one crazed feline has just taken things a paw too far. Kitty Galore, a former elite agent for spy organization MEOWS, has gone rogue. In 48 hours, she plans to unleash a diabolical device designed to not only bring her canine enemies to heel but take down her former kitty comrades and make the world her scratching post.

Faced with this immediate and unprecedented threat, cats and dogs will be forced to work together for the first time in history in an unlikely alliance to save themselves—and their beloved humans—from global cat-astrophe.

It’s time for the fur to fly.

Okay, first I was not able to watch the first Cats & Dog so I don't know where the story ended. The movie started with a James Bond-ish opening graphic with Get the Party Started by Dame Shirley Bassey as the music background which I found cute :)

The 3D effect on this movie is not that impressive, but not that bad. At first I though this movie is putting our feline friends in a bad light since the dogs are the heroes and the cats are the antagonist. But it's not, they are just against one enemy. I think this movie is perfect for kids because there are talking dogs and cats but can be boring to grown-ups.

Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore is now showing across the Philippines. Released by Warner Bros. Pictures and rated GP by the MTRCB.
