International Dance Day: LRT Dance Express

The Contemporary Dance Network Philippines invite you to come and join the 2010 Contemporary Dance Map celebrations of the International Dance Day.

Opening with Moving Dance @ The LRT Dance Express on April 29, 1pm and 5pm at the LRT Line 2 Purple Line with performances at Legarda, Katipunan,Cubao stations and in the train while it is on transit. Their concept is to blur the line between the normal and the everyday with the idea of “performance”.

April 30, concludes the International Dance Day celebrations at the Dance Forum space in 36-e West Avenue Quezon City at 8pm. Tickets are at PhP 200 each and student price at PhP 100 each.

Participating groups are Airdance, UP Dance Company, Lyceum Dance Theater, Chameleon Dance Theater, Benilde de Romancon Dance Company and Myra Beltran’s Dance Forum.

 I first saw this newly opened Newport Cinema in Newport Mall in Resorts World Manila when they invited me and other bloggers for the special screening of Despicable Me in 3D. The cinemas are spacious and seats are so comfortable. This state of the art theaters are equipped with the latest Dolby Digital Audio technology. They currently have four cinemas and one of those is the Newport ULTRA Cinem a where you can experience twin-seater, fully reclining seats and unlimited popcorn & drinks served by their personal butlers. If you ran out of popcorn or drinks you just have to request through a call button allocated per pod for your personalized service. Cool eh? 'Going The Distance' Movie Review

I've watched Going The Distance on a special screening at SM Megamall, just before it's showing.  Before I watched this movie, I don't expect that much,  in short I lower my expectation. I expect this movie to fail just like The Bounty Hunter & Love Happens. PLOT: 7 / 10 The film revolves around a couple who try to maintain a long-distance relationship, one in New York City, New York and the other in San Francisco, California. The film will also include a cameo by British band The Boxer Rebellion. CAST & CHARACTERS 8 / 10 Though at first look I don't really like Justin Long and Drew Barrymore as a couple (they're real life couple) as the story unfolds, you will say that they have chemistry. Christina Applegate's role as Drew's sister is so funny, she's exaggerated but funny at the same time. She and Charlie Day brings most of the funny part in this movie. Charlie Day's love to drink beer in the toilet too :)

W arner Bros. releases the character posters of its upcoming blockbuster comedy “ Due Date ” starring Robert Downey, Jr. and Zach Galifianakis as two unlikely companions who are thrown together on a road trip that turns out to be as life-changing as it is outrageous.
