Global Pinoy Center at SM City Marilao
OFWs from Bulacan & their families can now experience a world of exclusive priviliges at the newly opened Global Pinoy Center at SM City Marilao.
SM Supermalls President Annie Garcia led the opening ceremonies held at the mall's center atrium followed by a ribbon cutting activity at the Global Pinoy Center located at the 2nd floor.
Obando Mayor Orencio Gabriel shared his experiences before he became known as the Pinoy Tortilla King of the US. making a success with his 4 Mexican restaurants & tortilla factory in San Diego, California while boosting his realty & commercial investments here in the Philippines & in the US.
Civil Engineer Faustino Manlapaz had a very fruitful two decade career in Libya, Saudi Arabia & Malaysia before he established his successful poultry farms in Bulacan.
Mr. Tony Bautista, a businessman from Baliwag, founded the All Filipino Tennis Player's Association (the biggest sports association in Saudi) He also served as the Executive Council Chairman of the Kapulungan ng mga Samahang Pilipino or KASAPI.
An assistant vice president of PhilPacific Insurance Brokers & Managers, Ms. Claudine Ronas worked in the insurance industry in the US for 12 years.
Two-time Olympian Lydia De Vega, who is considered as Asia's Fastest Women in the 1980's. She is currently working as coach of Singapore's track & field team.
Mayor Orencio Gabriel, Engr. Faustino Manlapaz, along with Lydia De Vega, Tony Bautista & Claudine Ronas were the recepients of the ceremonial turnover of Global Pinoy Cards.
President of Blas F. Ople Policy Center & Training Institute, Ms. Susan Ople graced the event to show her support for SM's program for OFWs.
A fellow Bulaceña & a GMA-7 talent, Kyla also graced the said event.
Global Pinoy Center is a one-stop shop for services specifically tailored for the Global Pinoy and his family’s needs. You can find a Global Pinoy Center at the following: SM Mall of Asia, SM City Fairview, SM City Clark, SM City Marilao, and SM City Bacoor. Members will enjoy the following services at the center:
Info Services.
The Global Pinoy member will have the convenience of getting updated and relevant information related to their career abroad with terminals with direct access to government employment agencies like POEA, OWWA, and DOLE making it easy for them to finish their paperwork ahead of time.
BDO Remittances.
The member’s family can pick up remittances at the center even on weekends and holidays, creating instant hassle-free transactions. Foreign Exchange is also available for easy money trade.
Communication.
At the GPC, families of OFWs can talk to their loved ones overseas using email, chat, and videoconferencing for free.
Global Pinoy Card.
This card lets OFWs and their families enjoy rewards, discounts and freebies from SM Supermalls and other partner establishments. It also grants access to the GPC lounge and to several fun events and seminars held by SM Cares.
Any OFW who has an active contract abroad or those who was a former OFW is qualified for membership. All one has to do is completely fill out the Global Pinoy Membership Application Form and submit it with any valid ID and proof of remittance at the GPC.
Each member is also given a Global Pinoy Card, which entitles him and his family a wealth of privileges up to a toal of PhP80,000 worth of discounts in education, health services, hotels, restaurants and various shops. For example, a member may avail 20% off tuition fee in Asia Pacific College or 15% off in National University.
The center is already open for membership and other inquiries.
