'From Paris With Love' Movie Review

A personal aide to the U.S. Ambassador in France, James Reese (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) has an enviable life in Paris and a beautiful French girlfriend, but his real passion is his side job as a low-level operative for the CIA. All James wants is to become a bona fide agent and see some real action. So when he's offered his first senior-level assignment, he can't believe his good luck - until he meets his new partner, special agent Charlie Wax (John Travolta).

A trigger-happy, wisecracking, loose cannon who's been sent to Paris to stop a terrorist attack, Wax leads James on a white-knuckle shooting spree through the Parisian underworld that has James praying for his desk job. But when James discovers he's a target of the same crime ring they're trying to bust, he realizes there's no turning back...and that Wax himself might be his only hope for making it through the next 48 hours alive.

Starring John Travolta, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Kasia Smutniak and Richard Durden, FROM PARIS WITH LOVE is directed by Pierre Morel (TAKEN) and produced by Virginie Besson-Silla.

I don't expect much anything on this movie but it was so good. I think it was my favorite John Travolta's characters since Pulp Fiction :) This is the real action movie! Well what can you expect from Pierre Morel, no doubt he is a French & made Paris, an eye candy for the movie yet still maintaining an action packed film.  John Travolta's (Charlie Wax)  one-liners in this movie always get the loudest response from the audience, I am sure without him the movie is dull & boring.

The only things that I don't like the film is, it's so loud and we're not even close to the sides of the cinemas, well I think that's how Morel do action films hehe.  And how did that girl managed to bring some explosives to the venue when Jonathan Rhys Meyers' small gun is detected at metal detector at the lobby? Hhmmm... plus the movie title is inappropriate too :)

With a lot of  pulsating action-packed scene with edge-of-seat motorway mayhem, big big explosions, gun-fire and superb stunts, this movie is definitely worth the peso.

Distributed by Viva International Pictures, From Paris With Love opens in cinemas on February 24.
