Khalid captures the feeling of romantic togetherness on R&B ballad “Present”

American multi-platinum star Khalid has officially dropped his new single “Present,” a romantic R&B ballad off his upcoming mixtape, Scenic Drive.

The slow jam serves as Khalid’s latest release since “New Normal,” which landed on all music platforms a few months ago. According to Khalid, “Present” was inspired by the music he grew up with, and the determination to push himself creatively during the recording.

“My Mom raised me on R&B and whether it’s the harmonies or melodies, it will always be a part of my music, the certified chart-topper says. “Present is just the beginning and I love that it has a dual meaning. It feels good to be more ‘present’ after such a trying year in the pandemic and it’s also a ‘present’ for my fans that have been with me every step of the way.”

Upon its debut, the song instantly earned heaps of approval from several music publications. Hypebeast praised its “deep R&B sound,” while Complex commended how Khalid’s vocals are always on-point, and how it “floats over a melodic R&B joint, carried by some silky guitar strums.”

Continuing his consistent run of pop-informed urban tracks in 2021, “Present” captures the warm, soothing feeling of wanting to be constantly together with your loved one. The new track will be part of Scenic Drive, which will be released on December 3rd, 2021. The highly anticipated mixtape arrives as a companion piece to his 2018 Sun City EP.

Khalid’s “Present” is out now on all digital music platforms worldwide via Sony Music/Right Hand Music Group/RCA Records.

I've watched Going The Distance on a special screening at SM Megamall, just before it's showing. Before I watched this movie, I don't expect that much, in short I lower my expectation. I expect this movie to fail just like The Bounty Hunter & Love Happens. PLOT: 7 / 10 The film revolves around a couple who try to maintain a long-distance relationship, one in New York City, New York and the other in San Francisco, California. The film will also include a cameo by British band The Boxer Rebellion. CAST & CHARACTERS 8 / 10 Though at first look I don't really like Justin Long and Drew Barrymore as a couple (they're real life couple) as the story unfolds, you will say that they have chemistry. Christina Applegate's role as Drew's sister is so funny, she's exaggerated but funny at the same time. She and Charlie Day brings most of the funny part in this movie. W arner Bros. releases the character posters of its upcoming blockbuster comedy “ Due Date ” starring Robert Downey, Jr. and Zach Galifianakis as two unlikely companions who are thrown together on a road trip that turns out to be as life-changing as it is outrageous.
