Last Monday, I was invited to the  GBX  Bloggers Event at Beer Belly in Madison Square at Madison Square in Mandaluyong City. Me and 8 other blogger was introduced to Miss  Dynes L. Dignadice , the Marketing Manager of  GBX .  Ms. Dignadice told us a brief history of GBX in the Philippines, and their recent successful sponsorship of FHM Sexiest 100 Party where Iwa Moto is their main girl. She also promised us that all bloggers present that night will be invited on this year's FHM's Sexiest 100 Party. Cool eh?

In Columbia Pictures’ The Karate Kid , 12-year-old Dre Parker ( Jaden Smith ) could have been the most popular kid in Detroit, but his mother’s (Taraji P. Henson) career takes them both to China. Dre has a hard time making friends at first but he does make a connection with his classmate Mei Ying – and the feeling is mutual – until cultural differences make such a friendship impossible. Even worse, Dre makes an enemy of the class bully, Cheng. Dre knows only a little karate, and in the land of kung fu, Cheng puts “the karate kid” on the floor with ease. Feeling alone in a foreign land, Dre has no friends to turn to except the maintenance man, named Mr. Han ( Jackie Chan ).

 IMAX Corporation and Warner Bros. Pictures recently announced that “ Inception ,” directed by Christopher Nolan (“The Dark Knight”) and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, will be released to IMAX theatres in the Philippines simultaneously with the film's wide release in Digital 2D and conventional cinemas on July 15. The film marks the third IMAX project for Christopher Nolan , following the record-breaking IMAX release of “The Dark Knight,” which grossed more than $65 million at IMAX theatres. “Inception,” a contemporary sci-fi action film set within the architecture of the mind, will be digitally re-mastered into the unparalleled image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience with IMAX DMR technology.

SM SuperCenter Valenzuela open it's much anticipated style center, the Fashion Avenue . The new multi-shop is located at the mall's 2nd Level & it houses a wide array of apparel, shoes & accessory picks. Some cater to the up-to-the-minute trends while other shops on Fashion Avenue offers the classic, modest look. Both fashion-forward & fashion fundamentalist people would surely have fun to look at.

I was invited by Nuffnang Philippines & Unitel Pictures on The Red Shoes Preview Night at the Podium, last week. The movie may sounds foreign, but it was actually made by Filipinos. It's from the same movie outfit that brought us the hit, Inang Yaya & The Crying Ladies . The Red Shoes is not your usual bubblegum love story, the movie uses a lot of interesting metaphors that makes the film interesting. The choice of Marvin Agustin & Nikki Gil is perfect, I'm not really a fan of these two but after seeing the film, I must say that Nikki Gil is one of those underrated Pinay actresses.   Tessie Tomas sure brought up  the loud laughs among audience and Iwa Moto brings in the hhmmmm... The story does not really happened in real life, but it makes you feel otherwise. A world class film, I must say. It's gonna worth your every peso.

In observance of the International Coastal Cleanup Day, SM City Baliwag, in collaboration with government agencies and institutions, participated in a cleanup drive along the Angat River trench located between Barangay Tibag and Barangay Poblacion, at Baliwag City in Bulacan. Organized by the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), the activity aims to increase awareness on the importance of proper waste disposal and the role of the community in the protection and conservation of wetland areas. Together with the volunteers from SM City Baliwag, the Philippine National Police (PNP), the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), and NU Baliwag, the event yielded significant results as the said groups collected the most common types of garbage found on water bodies, such as cigarette butts, food wrappers, take-out containers, metal and plastic bottle caps, fishing nets...
