I was invited by Nuffnang Philippines & Unitel Pictures on The Red Shoes Preview Night at the Podium, last week. The movie may sounds foreign, but it was actually made by Filipinos. It's from the same movie outfit that brought us the hit, Inang Yaya & The Crying Ladies . The Red Shoes is not your usual bubblegum love story, the movie uses a lot of interesting metaphors that makes the film interesting. The choice of Marvin Agustin & Nikki Gil is perfect, I'm not really a fan of these two but after seeing the film, I must say that Nikki Gil is one of those underrated Pinay actresses.   Tessie Tomas sure brought up  the loud laughs among audience and Iwa Moto brings in the hhmmmm... The story does not really happened in real life, but it makes you feel otherwise. A world class film, I must say. It's gonna worth your every peso.

In observance of the International Coastal Cleanup Day, SM City Baliwag, in collaboration with government agencies and institutions, participated in a cleanup drive along the Angat River trench located between Barangay Tibag and Barangay Poblacion, at Baliwag City in Bulacan. Organized by the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), the activity aims to increase awareness on the importance of proper waste disposal and the role of the community in the protection and conservation of wetland areas. Together with the volunteers from SM City Baliwag, the Philippine National Police (PNP), the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), and NU Baliwag, the event yielded significant results as the said groups collected the most common types of garbage found on water bodies, such as cigarette butts, food wrappers, take-out containers, metal and plastic bottle caps, fishing nets...

 I was so happy when I received a text that I will have a seat at the CINCO premiere night aside from the pre-party of the movie that I also attended at Guilly's Island in Tomas Morato. Because this is the first time Star Cinema invited me to a premiere, because the previous two that I attended are just presscons. Not that I complaining though. Did I? LOL This is also the first time I saw a literally jampacked premiere night. I mean there are so many people standing at the sides. I also would like to thank Star Cinema because there's a seat there with my name on it, cool eh? It's reserved especially for me! It's also fun to hear all those fanatics screams their lungs out when their idol appeared on the screen! and I'm really surprised that there's a lot of banners/tarpaulins displayed by fans. It's like seeing those Twilight fantards :)

A ctress-on-the-rise Olivia Wilde plays Quorra, a unique computer program that acts as confidant and sometimes warrior to exiled video-game developer Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), helping him survive his life in The Grid, in Walt Disney Pictures' “TRON: Legacy.” The film is a high-tech 3D action-adventure set in a digital world that’s unlike anything ever captured on the big screen. The unique program Quorra is like a surrogate daughter to Kevin —a confidant with intelligence, inquisitiveness and the fighting ability to blow just about anyone away. He teaches her of the outside world and in return, she offers him undying loyalty. As a result of her education, however, Quorra adopts Kevin’s yearning for knowledge and now longs to experience the ‘user’ world that lies far beyond the realm of possibility.

M att Damon stars in sci-fi, love story, The Adjustment Bureau directed by George Nolfi. “loosely” based on a story by Philip K. Dick. In The Adjustment Bureau, Damon plays a smooth talking congressman who has a serious future in national politics. He meets a beautiful ballerina, but is unable to make a connection with her due to strange and uncontrollable circumstances. Damon’s interest was piqued by this tale of a man who stumbles on a vast, powerful and unseen world that exists on the periphery of our own. He told the filmmakers that if future drafts looked as good, he would be ready to join. “George has been a friend and collaborator for a long time,” notes Damon. “He brought this script to me that he’d written on spec…because he wanted to direct it. I was a big believer in him and felt he could do it.”
