I think I will attend the November 2 schedules, but I can't finish 3 movies since at 7PM, it's DUE DATE Premiere Night. Anyway, here are the screening schedule:

Emma Stone in "EASY A"

Image
W ith her striking beauty and sincere talent, Emma Stone (“Superbad,” “Zombieland”) is claiming her role as one of Hollywood’s most sought out actresses. She has just been cast as Gwen Stacy in the “Spider-Man” reboot in 2012. And now, she’s starring in one of the year’s smartest and coolest teen comedies – Columbia Pictures’ “Easy A.” In the film, clean-cut high schooler Olive (Stone) finds that her new-found bad-girl rap – courtesy of a little white lie about losing her virginity – has an upside: she is finally getting noticed. Olive decides to exploit her "easy" reputation and use the school rumor mill to advance her social and financial standing. But life starts to spin hilariously out of control, and there is only one boy, Todd (Penn Badgley), who sees through her vixen veneer to the heart of it.

Milla Jovovich Takes a Dramatic Turn in "STONE” (Opens Oct 27)

Image
A s Milla Jovovich is best known for her starring role in the futuristic action franchise “Resident Evil,” audiences are in for a huge surprise with her latest project – the provocative drama, “Stone” which will be shown exclusively at Ayala Malls Cinemas (Trinoma, Glorietta 4 & Greenbelt 3) starting Oct. 27. In the film, convicted arsonist Gera'd `Stone' Creeson (Edward Norton) looks to manipulate correctional officer Jack Mabry (Robert De Niro) into a plan to secure his parole by placing his beautiful wife Lucetta (Jovovich) in the lawman's path. Producer Jordan Schur says, “This is a real star turn for Milla. The character has edge. She is compromised in multiple ways. It's a real departure. It took real courage and tremendous talent to approach the role the way she has, and I think she is going to enjoy accolades within the film community.”

“EASY A” Actor Penn Badgley at Ease with Stardom

Image
B est known for his role of Dan Humphrey in the hit series “Gossip Girl,” Penn Badgley was more than happy to take on a new character challenge with his role in Columbia Pictures' new, edgy comedy, “Easy A.” Playing the part of ‘Woodchuck Todd’ was so tempting, he arranged to fly between the west and east coasts of America to accommodate the shooting schedules for both the film and his series. In “Easy A,” clean-cut high schooler Olive (Emma Stone) finds that her new-found bad-girl rap – courtesy of a little white lie about losing her virginity – has an upside: she is finally getting noticed. Olive decides to exploit her "easy" reputation and use the school rumor mill to advance her social and financial standing. But life starts to spin hilariously out of control, and there is only one boy, Todd (Badgley), who sees through her vixen veneer to the heart of it. Laying out the role’s particular appeal to Badgley, director Will Gluck explains, “The first time we meet

Robert Downey Jr., a Control-Freak Expectant Father in “DUE DATE”

Image
I n Warner Bros.’ new comedy “Due Date,” Robert Downey Jr. is Peter Highman, an architect on his way back to L.A. from a business trip in Atlanta. He’s on a tight schedule because his wife is expecting their first child and the date is all set. Everything is fine until he gets tangled up at the airport with a wannabe actor named Ethan Tremblay (Zach Galifianakis) who somehow gets the both of them booted off the plane and grounded for the foreseeable future. Stranded without cash, credit, ID or time, Peter finds himself in the galling position of having to hitch a ride home with a guy he’d rather take a swing at—Ethan. The person he holds responsible for his predicament in the first place is now behind the wheel of a rental car and offering him the passenger seat. Though clearly not his best option, it’s Peter’s only option.

Kristen Bell Relives High School Rivalry in “YOU AGAIN”

Image
F resh from the hit romantic comedy “When in Rome,” endearing actress Kristen Bell now stars in Touchstone Pictures' new outrageous comedy “You Again.” She plays successful PR girl Marni who heads home for her older brother’s wedding and discovers that he’s marrying her high school arch nemesis. “This is a story about people who find their way to a place of forgiveness and acceptance,” says Bell. “There’s a sweetness and heart to this movie that will appeal to many different demographics, and it’s an escapist kind of comedy with some really funny things happening based in reality.” Bell and “You Again” director Andy Fickman have had a long-standing friendship since 2001. He is the one responsible for nicknaming her K-Bell, a moniker that she happily responds to.

“THE HANGOVER” Director Out with New Comedy “DUE DATE”

Image
F rom Todd Phillips, the director of the smash comedy “The Hangover,” comes “Due Date” starring Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis as two unlikely companions who are thrown together on a road trip that turns out to be as life-changing as it is outrageous. Downey plays Peter Highman, an expectant first-time father whose wife’s due date is a mere five days away. As Peter hurries to catch a flight home from Atlanta to be at her side for the birth, his best intentions go completely awry when a chance encounter with aspiring actor Ethan Tremblay (Galifianakis) forces Peter to hitch a ride with Ethan—on what turns out to be a cross-country road trip that will ultimately destroy several cars, numerous friendships and Peter’s last nerve. For Phillips, who also serves as a producer and co-writer on the film, the fun of making “Due Date” has been tied to the remarkable cast he has assembled. “Half-way through `The Hangover,' I decided I wanted to work with Zach Galifianakis again,”

Director Tony Scott Talks About His “UNSTOPPABLE” Movie

Image
A ction maestro Tony Scott presents his fifth film with Denzel Washington in the runaway train thriller “Unstoppable,” inspired by true events. Denzel describes the director as the hardest working person on set, while his co-star Chris Pine calls him “the magic movie elf”, a tightly wound ball of appropriately unstoppable energy.

Sneak Peak on “EASY A”

Image
I n Columbia Pictures’ new critically acclaimed comedy “Easy A,” Olive Penderghast was a typical American high school girl, until she decided to be, well, A-typical. “Easy A” stars Emma Stone (recently cast as Gwen Stacy in the “Spider-Man” 2012 reboot) as Olive, Penn Badgley (TV’s “Gossip Girl”), Amanda Bynes (“What a Girl Wants”), Cam Gigandet (“Twilight”) and Aly Michalka (TV’s “Hellcats”). The film is directed by Will Gluck (“Fired Up”) from a screenplay by Bert V. Royal. What’s your average, everyday girl to do when her popular, detail-seeking best friend Rhiannon (Michalka) wants the lowdown on Olive’s weekend, and the boring reality is nothing to brag about? Can’t a non-entity, a perceived zero, an anonymous girl like Olive tell a little white lie if it gives her just a tiny taste of that magical prize sought by every teenager: popularity?

New Baby Catches Katherine Heigl Off-Guard in “LIFE AS WE KNOW IT”

Image
S he previously faced “The Ugly Truth” about the battle of the sexes. Now Katherine Heigl confronts instant motherhood in Warner Bros.’ new romantic comedy “Life as We Know It.” As the film opens, we meet Holly (Heigl) and Messer (Josh Duhamel) on a blind date. A horrendous blind date. “We all know that blind date,” director Greg Berlanti attests, “that starts off badly and just goes more and more awry.” Heigl confirms, “It’s not as if Holly and Messer are just uncomfortable with each other, or just don’t connect. It’s awful. They hate each other.” Unfortunately, because of their mutual best friends, they’re stuck in each other’s lives and forced to be around one another on numerous occasions. They both tolerate it, for the sake of their friends and their goddaughter, Sophie. But once they’re left to care for the baby girl, the situation seems, well, intolerable.

Eva Mendes is the All-Around Perfect Wife in "The Other Guys" (Opens Oct 13)

Image
T alented actress Eva Mendes (Hitch, Ghost Rider) joins the cast of Columbia Pictures' outrageous action comedy The Other Guys as Sheila, the wife of Will Ferrell’s bookish cop, Allen. “What people don’t know about me is that I will do anything for a laugh,” Mendes says. “Once director Adam McKay and Will Ferrell knew I was game and that I don’t care about looking ridiculous or ugly or silly, it gave them more freedom to go even further with my character. It was a great collaboration.” “Sheila’s a doctor and the all-around perfect wife, perfect for Will’s character,” says Mendes. “She performs surgery during the day, then she goes shopping for lingerie, takes a Pilates class and does all of it in time to have a four-course dinner on the table when her husband gets home. She’s always looking for ways to make him happy because she sees how exceptional he is.”

THE TOWN Movie Review

Image
I 've watched THE TOWN at Cinema 3 of PowerPlant Mall in Rockwell Center, it was my first time visiting the place so I got a hard time finding the mall. That also means I'm a bit late, but nonetheless I still watch the important parts of this movie :) PLOT 8 / 10 A team of four lifelong friends — Doug MacRay, James Coughlin, Albert "Gloansy" Magloan, and Desmond "Dez" Elden, from the tough streets of Charlestown, Massachusetts — rob a Cambridge bank, taking bank manager Claire Keesey hostage. After her release, Doug follows Claire and they begin a relationship. He reveals that his mother deserted his family and may have moved to Tangerine, Florida. FBI agent Adam Frawley surveils the crew and realizes they work for 'Fergie' Colm, a local florist. Doug is hesitant to undertake their next assignment, and his fears are confirmed during the robbery in the North End, where gunfire erupts. The police arrive quickly, a chase ensues, and the team barel

Justin Timberlake is The Conniving Friend in Facebook Movie "The Social Network"

Image
G rammy-winner Justin Timberlake makes a breakthrough performance as an actor in Columbia Pictures' critically acclaimed drama The Social Network, the controversial film about the beginnings of social media megasite Facebook. Timberlake plays Sean Parker, the smooth-talking Napster founder-turned-Facebook president who pulls Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg into his venture-capital-rich world while persuading the young upstart to bury his biggest investor, and friend, Eduardo Saverin. "I read it and I thought it was a perfect screenplay," says Timberlake of The Social Network, which is written by The West Wing's Aaron Sorkin. "I knew that it was in the two percentile of material that is just great. And then I heard David Fincher (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,Zodiac,Fight Club) was going to be the director,” so Justin kicked down the door as hard as he could. On paper, Timberlake is the polar opposite from Parker. The megastar doesn't use Facebook

Facebook Movie “THE SOCIAL NETWORK” Defines Our Time

Image
E very age has its visionaries who leave, in the wake of their genius, a changed world – but rarely without a battle over exactly what happened and who was there at the moment of creation. In Columbia Pictures’ The Social Network, director David Fincher and screenwriter Aaron Sorkin explore the moment at which Facebook, the most revolutionary social phenomenon of the new century, was invented -- through the warring perspectives of the super-smart young men who each claimed to be there at its inception. One drunken night in October of 2003, having just broken up with his girlfriend, Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg hacks into the university’s computers to create a site that forms a database of all the women on campus, then lines up two pictures next to each other and asks the user to choose which is “hotter.” He calls the site Facemash, and it instantly goes viral, crashing the entire Harvard system and generating campus-wide controversy over the site’s purported misogyny, and charge

Mark Wahlberg, from Tough Guy to “THE OTHER GUYS”

Image
M ark Wahlberg, the Academy Award®-nominated actor known for his tough-guy action movie roles, in a comedy opposite Will Ferrell? This can only happen in Columbia Pictures' new action-comedy The Other Guys. “I’ve been looking to do a comedy for a long time,” says Wahlberg. “I just wanted to make sure I was in the right hands. There were comedic elements to certain performances that I’ve done, but to do a full-blown comedy I wanted to make sure I was protected and who better to work with than the funniest guys in movies in my opinion, Will and [director] Adam [McKay.] They invited me to dinner and said they wanted to do a movie. I was like, ‘You got to be kidding me.’ I said, ‘I’ll do whatever you want.’” Ferrell added, “We – Adam and I – are such big fans of Mark’s. We always thought he would be great in a comedy, playing a character that maybe is similar in some ways to the role he had in The Departed, but to utilize that intensity he has and play it for laughs.”

Josh Lucas Complicates Love Story in “LIFE AS WE KNOW IT”

Image
J oining Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel in the wacky romantic comedy Life As We Know It is top actor Josh Lucas (Sweet Home Alabama) who further complicates the already messed up arrangement of the two lead characters. In the film, Holly Berenson (Heigl) is an up-and-coming caterer and Eric Messer (Duhamel) is a promising network sports director. After a disastrous first date, the only thing they have in common is their dislike for each other and their love for their goddaughter, Sophie. But when they suddenly become all Sophie has in the world, Holly and Messer are forced to put their differences aside. Juggling career ambitions and competing social calendars, they’ll have to find some common ground while living under one roof. Lucas plays the other man in Holly’s life, Sam. “There were Joshes everywhere on this film,” says director Greg Berlanti, referring not only to two of his stars, but also to Heigl’s husband, Josh Kelly, who occasionally came to set. “You threw a roc

Indeed, Lively is interested in lives that are worlds apart from hers. "I love this character because of the challenge," she says. "She was written to be a 37-year-old, OxyContin-addicted, drug-muling mother from Boston. It was a character that they didn't want to read me for because I was 21 and had been acting for a few years but hadn't proven myself much." In the film, Krista is the ex-childhood sweetheart of Ben Affleck ’s character, Doug -- the de facto leader of a group of ruthless bank robbers who wants to leave town and turn a new leaf. “All Krista wants is for Doug to love her and take her away from there,” Lively says. “She’s grown up around these tough guys who are doing everything wrong, but they were her only role models.
