SM Supermalls Celebrates World Earth Day 2023

SM Supermalls, in collaboration with its corporate social responsibility arm, SM Cares, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), local government units and partner schools and organizations joined the rest of the world in celebrating Earth Day at SM malls nationwide on April 22, 2023. With the theme “Invest In Our Planet, Invest In Our Youth,” SM Supermalls and SM Cares lined up various activities that aimed to raise awareness among children and their families about the importance of coming together across various sectors to take care of the environment. SM malls nationwide simultaneously held relevant and impactful celebrations with activities such as Children’s Storytelling, Coloring, and Sustainability Tours, gathering 1700 children and 350 employee volunteers. Screenwriter David Goyer shares that, “The film is about a man with two fathers: Jor-El, Kal’s Kryptonian father, and Jonathan Kent, Clark’s dad on Earth. Clark/Kal has grown up with two sets of histories, though only one was known to him until now. And now he needs to reconcile those teachings if he is to become the man that, arguably, both fathers would want him to be, in their own ways.”

When Barnabas declares his love for another, the ethereal Josette (Bella Heathcote), Angelique exacts her revenge on both of them: taking Josette’s life while giving Barnabas an eternal one as a vampire. It’s not much of a life, however, as she proceeds to bury him in a coffin forever…or at least the foreseeable future.

Over 200 Pasig River relocatees receive free medical aid from PRRC

T he Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission (PRRC) in partnership with St. Joseph Academy of Valenzuela Alumni Association, Salcres Physical Therapy Foundation International Inc., Myshare Foundation and Wow Health and Wellness Optical Clinic, spearheaded a medical mission on June 2, 2018 at Jaime Cardinal Sin Village (JCSV), 728 Housing, Punta Sta. Ana, Manila City. This free medical mission was given to at least 200 individuals relocated from the banks of the Pasig River into one of the country’s first in-city relocation sites in Metro Manila.

It's another fun-filled afternoon when SM City Sta. Mesa invited a group of blogger, including me to test their wi-fi within the mall. The connection is still fast despite the fact that there were many of us, using the wifi connection at the SM City Sta. Mesa FoodCourt Area. Of course, there's a reason why SM Sta. Philippines' Pasig River Vies for the 2018 Thiess International Asia Riverprize Award

The Philippines'  Pasig River , the cradle of early Manila civilization, has been selected as a finalist in the first ever Asia Riverprize by the prestigious  International River Foundation  (IRF) which recognizes and rewards organizations who are making a difference through effective river basin restoration and management programs.  It is a back-to-back nomination for the  Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission  (PRRC) who just came from a successful campaign in the 2017 Thiess International Riverprize competition where the Pasig River was hailed as runner-up to the winner, San Antonio River of Texas, USA.  PRRC Executive Director Jose Antonio E.
