Revving up soon on the big screen is Dreamworks Animation’s “Turbo” (3D), meanwhile the movie’s international trailer is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sY-8-J6_rTY&feature=youtu.be Starring the voices of Ryan Reynolds, Paul Giamatti, Snoop Dogg, Maya Rudolph, Ben Schwartz and Samuel L. Jackson, “Turbo” is a fast-paced, action-packed 3D comedy and is set to have audiences around the world root for a super-charged snail to use his incredible powers to win the ultimate race against his idols so that he can prove once and for all that no dream is too big and no dreamer is too small.

From a concept by David Sorren, a DreamWorks Animation veteran story artist, “Turbo” is about a snail who feeds his need for speed by sneaking into a garage to watch racing on an old dusty tv set and emulates his hero, French Canadian Indy 500 champ Guy Gagne. Turbo (Reynolds) desperately wishes he could escape the slow-paced life he's living and race like his hero, making him an oddity in their slow moving community. As fate would have him have it, he gets that chance one day after a freak accident when he suddenly finds himself vested with the power of incredible speed.

D isney and Dream Works Studios have just released the first-look photos of Steven Spielberg’s new directorial effort “War Horse” – an epic adventure for audiences of all ages, and an unforgettable odyssey of friendship, discovery and courage. This sweeping tale of a young boy named Albert (Jeremy Irvine) and his beloved farm horse Joey, takes place at the outbreak of WWI. Joey is sold to the British cavalry by Albert’s father and dispatched to the front lines, Joey begins an extraordinary journey against the backdrop of the Great War. Despite the obstacles he faces at every step of his journey, he touches and changes each life he encounters along the way. Albert, unable to forget his friend, leaves home for the battlefields of France to find his horse and bring him home.

I n Columbia Pictures' sci-fi action-thriller “World Invasion: Battle Los Angeles,” the City of Angels is destroyed by unknown, alien forces… and visual effeccts supervisor Everett Burrell. Preparing to do his worst, Burrell flew in a helicopter between San Diego and Los Angeles, taking digital photos of the southland – wide shots that would become the background plates for the film for Burrell to use as a tool of his trade. “Once [director] Jonathan Liebesman had chosen the shots he liked, we could add smoke, fire, and city destruction,” Burrell explains.
