More Than A Game, A Docu About LeBron James

More Than A Game, A Documentary About LeBron James

I just got home from Cinema 3 of SM Megamall where I watched "More Than A Game", a documentary that follows NBA superstar LeBron James & his 4 other  talented teammates through the trials & tribulations of high school basketball in Ohio & LeBron James' journey to fame. Aside from the NBA superstar the film also features  Sian Cotton, Dru Joyce III, Willie McGee, Romeo Travis & their coach, Dru Joyce II.

5 young & talented basketball players from Akron, Ohio star in this remarkable true-life coming of age story about uncommon friendship in the face all too common adversities. Coached by a charismatic but inexperienced player’s father, and led by future NBA superstar LeBron James, the “Fab Five’s” improbable 7-year journey leads them from a decrepit inner-city gym to the doorstep of a national high school championship. Along the way, the close-knit team is repeatedly tested—both on and off the court—as LeBron James’ exploding worldwide celebrity threatens to destroy everything they’ve set out to achieve together. MORE THAN A GAME combines a series of unforgettable 1-on-1 interviews with rare news footage, never-before-seen home videos and personal family photographs to bring this heart-warming and wholly American story to life.

The films runs for 105 minutes & though the trailers online mostly promote LeBron James as the main subject of the film, it wasn't all about him. It's all about the 'Fab Five' and their coach. This documentary wants to delivers two message to it's viewers. First, is be humble as you climb the top of success & not only those who are privileged  can indeed dream and succeed.

  1. Lebron James really marked the history of sports a huge one. Like Micheal Jordan who makes a consistent points during his time on playing basketball.
Lebron was really born to play basketball. He got all the skills of a perfect player on the court. His passion is burning and it keeps the fire up on those fans when he starts to grab the ball and smash it inside the ring!
